Roofing Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager who is social, works well within a team, reliable and great at dealing with people. You will be working in commercial roofing, measure materials and estimating small maintenance roofing jobs. The role is a mix of working on the tools, meeting with clients as well as completing some admin in the office. Working on large scale roofing projects when required is also part of the role. You will be provided with a phone and company vehicle. This role reports to the Maintenance Department Leader.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 10+ years Maintenance experience
• EWP – Elevated work platform license / scissor lift / boom 
• Own hand tools / power tools
• Must have a current full/restricted NZ driver licence
• Have an eye for detail and must be interested in roof investigation
• Be social and work well within a team
• Great communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Be interested to move up from tools – 60% tools 40% office

Responsibilities:

• Materials measuring and pricing small jobs 
• Helping on projects when required 
• Communicating and meetings with clients

Site Foreman

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Projects team. As a member of the Projects Department, our Foremen are responsible for, although not limited to:

• Work in all projects jobs
• Report to Project Manager / Head of Projects
• Coordinate with contractors on site
• Coordinate with designers, engineers, etc.
• Manage team members working on site
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are met

As a key participant in the relationship with the company, other contractors and the client, the site foreman is the second management level and has a further role as a co-ordinating manager and client interface. Foreman will take great care and detail in the following areas:
– Safety: The Site Foreman must provide leadership that results in a safe work culture, is responsible and accountable for the safety of the team under their direction and must understand and accept the importance and legal liability of the role.
– Leadership and Supervision: The Site Foreman co-ordinates the team and must understand and consistently apply the company and project policies and procedures. The Site Foreman is required to be involved and supportive of any day to day disciplinary decisions.
– Planning and Scheduling: The Site Foreman is accountable for following project plans and schedules and ensuring that crews under their direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals.
– Employee Relations: The Site Foreman must champion an inclusive employee relations culture, is accountable for the adherence to policies and procedures by the team to ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
– Administration: The Site Foreman is accountable for the preparations of reports as required by TPW.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Full Class 1 drivers licence
• LBP Site 1 (preferred)
• Strong construction and leadership experience (5+ years)
• Ability to read architectural plans
• First Aid training
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Organization, time management, and problem solving
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail eye
• Computer and smart phone skills
• High level of communication, in written and verbal form
• Must be able to work well in a team and independently
• Able to uphold client relations
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Foreman must have their own full kit of tools
